Breakfast is called by some as the most important meal of the day. While I would probably not go along with this the fact is a nice and healthy breakfast is the best way to start your day. And if you are trying to develop a more healthy eating lifestyle then you want to start your day with something that is good for you. Well today we are looking at the food that in no way shape or form you should be eating for your breakfast. If you want to watch what you eat, then DO NOT eat these!
Stay Away From : Sugar Filled Cereals
Now you do not have to be a rocket scientist to realize that a big bowel of something like Fruit Loops, Cocoa Puffs, Frosted Flakes or whatever is one of the most unhealthy ways you can start your day. A nice and healthy cereal is a great way to start your day. But the cereals that are loaded with sugar and are all about the flavor is not a good idea at all. Just because it’s in the cereal aisle does not mean that it’s healthy!
Stay Away From : Bagel Loaded With Cream Cheese
I used to walk past this little bagel place on my way to work and the aroma more often than not would pull me in. Now a whole grain bagel with something low in fat like say a reduced fat cream cheese is a great and pretty healthy breakfast. But the problem is these full of fat and loaded with fat filled cream cheese bagel. While it may be tasty, this is also very unhealthy and can make your day start off by you being overly full.
Stay Away From : Smoothies
There are a whole bunch of smoothies these days that are marketed as a replacement for a traditional breakfast. And more often than not these smoothies taste amazing and you know why? Because they are loaded to the brim with sugar! Having a smoothie for breakfast is a great idea if you make it yourself and use only fresh fruits and keep away from the sugar bowl. Just stay away from the store bough smoothies if you want a healthy breakfast.
Stay Away From : Donuts
I really should not even have to put this one here. But for some reason it’s acceptable to have a donut and a cup of coffee for breakfast. How on earth does anyone think this is a good way to start their day! A donut is probably the most unhealthy thing you could eat for breakfast. Not only because it’s not good for you, but because it will not fill you up and an hour later you will be on the hunt for more food!
Stay Away From : Pancakes
Again much like the donut it’s now totally acceptable to have a stack of pancakes covered with syrup and whipped cream for breakfast… and no one sees this as weird? Maybe for a special occasion this is a nice treat for breakfast, but the amount of calories and fat that a stack of pancakes loaded with chocolate sauce, syrup or whatever is just mind blowing. Please do not make this a regular breakfast dish in your house!
