Running On Treadmill Is Good For Your Knees
One of the most common myths of fitness is that people who like to run in the streets or in park are going to have major problems with their knees as they get older. And that people who run on treadmills in the gym or at home are going to have string knees for the rest of their life. Well the fact of the matter is that the reason your knees can hurt after you have been running is because of the stress of your body weight on your joints. Running on a treadmill puts the exact same stress on your knees as running in the park does.
This does not mean you should ignore running in your workout. Instead do it smarter. Instead of running miles and miles each day. Mix up your cardio work out and give your knees a little rest by doing things like going on a bike or a elliptical machine.
Abdominal Crunches And Sit Ups Shed That Belly Fat
There are a million devices that promise you shredded abs with their ab machine. Now these machine will do a great job in strengthening your ab muscles as will doing crunches, sit ups and using the various ab machines at the gym. But the fact of the matter is ripped abs are mainly made in the kitchen not in the gym. You see you can have the most well defined abs in the world thanks to all the sit ups you do. But if you do not do plenty of cardio and most importantly have a strict diet. Then you will still have that fat over the top of them.
Swimming Is Great For Losing Weight
Swimming is great for your body in many ways. Its perfect for helping to increase your lung capacity and give your muscles a good stretch and workout. But the fact is unless you are swimming for ages and we are talking hours here people. Swimming does not actually burn all that many calories. So yes swimming is a great and fun exercise, but do not use it as your primary method of weight loss.

Sweat pretty much has zero to do with weight loss. Sweating is your bodies way of cooling its self down. Hey if we did not sweat then we would be walking around panting like dogs do.
