Getting into shape is one of the best decisions I ever made. As well as looking better, there is not a price you can put on how much better I feel inside as well (I know how cheesy that sounds!) But the one area that I really struggled with was not my abs, but my arms. I felt like I always had this flabby bit of skin hanging down, I was scared to lift my arms up on a windy day in case I flew away.. Ok I make light of it now, but at the time I would be feeling great until I saw that skin hanging down. That was why I dedicate myself to toning and getting my arms in the best shape I could. These are the exercises I used to do this.
Exercise To Tone Up Arms : Basketball Push Up
I loved this one and you can use a soccer ball if you want just make sure it can hold your weight. Now if you are reading this I am assuming that you know what a push up is. Well this is the same kind of thing. You do a push up, but one of your hands is on top of the ball. So your body is uneven. Do five on one side of your body and then roll the ball over to the over side. This one is hard to do, but it’s also fun as it feels like a game.
Exercise To Tone Up Arms : Boxing
You know how to throw a punch? Then you will be able to do this exercise. This one is not as physically demanding as the Basketball Push Up. Stand with your feet hips width apart and bend your knees a little. Put both your hands up by your cheek in a fist. And then do 20 punches with each arm. This is a great way of getting toned!
Exercise To Tone Up Arms : Standing Bicep Curl
Now for this one you will need a pair of light dumbbells. The key here is to make sure the weight is not too heavy. Stand with your legs hips width apart. Hold the dumb bells by your side and then do a really slow and strict dumbbell curl. The way to get the most out of this exercise is to try and not lift your elbow. Make your bicep do all the work! Do ten on one arm and then switch to the other.
Exercise To Tone Up Arms : Triceps Swing
This one was vital in getting rid of my wings that I had developed under my arms. Again you will want to use light dumbbells here. I would recommend using lighter ones that you did with the Standing Bicep Curl. Lay on your back with your knees slightly raised. Hold both dumbbells sideways above your chest. And slowly bring one arm back towards and past your head and then back to your chest and then repeat with the next arm. Use lightweight with more strict movements for better results.
Exercise To Tone Up Arms : Triceps Back Swing
Now for this one you will want to stand with your legs together and your dumbbells by your side. Now one at a time slowly lift your arm backwards as far as you can go while still keeping your arm straight. Keep it nice and slow and then bring it back down and do the other arm.
