Well, we are not doing anything revolutionary today to help you guys lose weight or maybe even maintain your weight loss. Instead we are looking at some very simple rules to live by when you are wanting to lose weight. By following these rules you are giving yourself a much greater chance of losing the weight that you want and also keeping the weight off which is something that many people struggle to do.
I Know It’s Boring, But Have A Food Diary/Journal
I know that writing down each and everything you eat can be a tedious and just boring thing to do. But at the end of the week, if you have had a great weight loss, then you can look back and see exactly what you have eaten and know what worked for your body. At the same time if you have not lost any weight then you can look back at your food diary and see what foods you had this week that you did not the week before. You should write down what you eat and drink, what time you have eaten and if you want to get really in-depth, write down how you were feeling emotionally as well.
Drink Water, A Ton Of Water!
You want to lose weight and be in good health then you simply must be drinking plenty of water each day. In an ideal world water should be what you are drinking 99/100. Sure the odd cup of coffee or tea is ok, but the water is calorie free, it flushes your system of nasty toxins and it makes your body just in general run better! Do not over estimate how big a part water plays in losing weight.
Plan Today, Lose Weight Tomorrow
If you are really serious about losing weight then you simply must be planning your meals in advance. This way you are in complete control of what you are putting into your body. By not planning your meals you run the risk of just grabbing what is ever convenient. Know what you are going to eat and when you are going to eat it will keep your weight loss at track, but also it makes it so that you will end up wasting far less food and you will not be buying food that sits in your fridge for weeks at a time also.
You Do Not Need To Fill Your Plate
I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep an eye on the size of the portions you are eating. Healthy food can make you lose weight, but it still has calories so if you have a huge overflowing plate, then those calories will all add up. Get into the habit of not needing to fill up your plate! Make enough food that fills you and that is enough! One trick that many people do is actually buy smaller plates or even use kids plates.
Ignore The Negative People
Some do it on purpose and some do not realize that they are doing it. But during my weight loss journey I had many people some intentional and some not so who would put down my diet and try to get me to eat fatty stuff. Do not give into these people. You are doing a great thing here and you are stronger than these other people. Keep your food diary, drink your water, do some exercise and watch your portion sizes and I promise you that you will lose weight.
