No one wants to be in a relationship with a liar, as a matter of fact I hate liars. Sure I have told a little white lie before. But big fat lies that destroy relationships and can make people feel like fools are just unacceptable. The problem can be though if your partner is a good liar. How do you know if they are lying? Well, read on down below to see some of the most common tells for when people are lying to you!
Their Voice Changes When They Talk To You
Studies have shown that liars voices change when they are talking and in the middle of coming up with a lie. They can talk really fast as they are trying to figure out what to say next and they also can stammer and get tripped up on what they are saying. You will know better than anyone if the way that your partner is talking to you is off and not the way they normally speak. Quite often a liar will talk far more than they usually do as they go to great lengths to get you to believe what it is they are saying.
They Cover Up
I am not talking about them going to extreme lengths to cover up their lies, but what I am talking about here is doing things like covering their mouth when they talk or looking away from you as they are speaking. This can be seen as something like a nervous tick or something to try and take your mind away from what they are saying as you focus on what they are doing. One other thing to look for which fits in with this is them fidgeting with their cell phone or maybe even just messing with their hands as they are talking to you.
Looking To The God Book
One thing that I have found that liars try to do as they are getting all emotional maybe even a little angry as they try to convince you of their lies. Is that they will swear to God or swear on something else or how about as God as my witness. If they never normally talk like this then that is certainly weird and a big red flag. Liars will always go to extremes when they think they could be close to getting rumbled!
They Will Use Denial Phrases
What on earth is a denial phrase I am sure many of you ladies are wondering. Well, let me tell you. When a liar is trying their hardest to convince you what they are saying is the truth, you can bet your bottom dollar that they will be using words and phrases like honestly, trust me, I swear and other such good sounding, but really quite evasive words.
They Let Little Things Slip
A liar can be under quite a bit of stress and as a result sticking to their story and trying to remember all that they have told you since they came up with their lie. As a result they will often let little things slip as they struggle to keep their lie up and running. Things like them telling you they were at their buddies late last night for a beer, suddenly becoming they were late because they stayed at work a bit longer.
