Ok so a few years back I had some pretty major issues with my weight. I was really struggling with it and I felt like I was getting bigger each week. One day I snapped, I started to eat right and exercise more and I had a much better outlook on life. Well as good as I was doing my weight loss seemed to hit a road block and for the love of god I could not figure out why. I had cut out everything I had been told was bad for me, but there was one sneaky thing, one thing I thought was ok, but was the real reason my belly was not shrinking like I wanted it to and that was soda! I am not making this up to you guys, but when I cut out diet soda I noticed a change in my waistline in the next couple of weeks. But let me tell you why you want to kick those diet soda cans to the curb.
Diet Soda Is No Good For Your Weight!
Diet Soda is not good for you! Now I did not think that diet soda was great for me, but as it had the name diet on it I was sure that the Diet Coke I would have with lunch every lunch and tea time would make no difference to my weight loss at all. If anything I thought that it would be ok for me and actually help me lose weight. But what I have found out is that Diet Soda offers no benefits to weight loss at all. As a matter of fact many people think they have a negative effect on weight loss.
Erm, So Why Diet Soda It Not Good For Me?
Now the real reason that diet sodas are no good for you, people trying to lose weight, is because of all the artificial sweeteners that are in them. These sweeteners actually have a huge negative effect on your body. You see just one can of a diet soda per day can have a really bad effect on your metabolism. The name for this is metabolic syndrome and this can have symptoms such as high cholesterol and belly fat. Some people will argue that diet soda is not the main cause of metabolic syndrome, but is that one diet soda at lunch really worth the risk.
