After what is best for their family, being happy is one of the things people want most out of this crazy thing we call life. Sometimes though it can feel like we have the weight of the world on our shoulders and being happy can be quite a hard thing to do. Well, today I have a few little tips for you to make your day a little happier and your outlook on life a little brighter.
Find The Funny In The Bad
Now I know that there are clearly some situations and events where humor is far from appropriate. But what I am talking about here is the little things in life that can happen, such as getting a flat on our way to work or spilling your coffee all down your blouse just as you area heading out the door. Rather than swearing and freaking out just take a moment to find the humor in the situation and you will be much better for it. Irony can be very funny!
Do Not Be So Serious All The Time
We all have busy lives these days be it having to be there for the kids and the million things that they have going on or at work where it feels like we have a never ending work load. The key here to being happy is to not get all stressed and beat yourself up over not being able to do like ten things at once. Just smile and get on with what at the end of the day you can only do so much, but if you can do what you need to do with a smile on your face, trust me, your day will be much better for it.
Think Of The Fun Times!
One way to put a smile on your face and brighten up even the dreariest day is to look to the past at some of the funny things that have either happened to you or someone you know. Just little things like maybe something one of your kids said or did the other day, a joke that your friend told you or maybe even something from your childhood. If you are having a hard day, just take a minute to think of something funny and the day will not seem so bad.
Let It Go
No I am not talking about that song from Frozen that pretty much 99 percent of the kids seem to be still singing. I am talking about if you have had a really hard day or if you have been chewed out by your boss for something that is not your fault, rather than dwelling on it and getting all stressed and angry just let it go. When you get home or when you are with friends or family do not let the bad things from your day bring you down. Letting go can be tough, but it’s a skill that once you learn will lead to you being a much more happy person in your personal time.
Try To Be Around Happy People
We all have that one friend who is like Eeyore! The person who just likes to bitch and moan. One way to make sure that you are a happier person is to surround yourself with happy and friendly people. If you are around happy people then you will be happier yourself!
